The Town of Cottesloe is seeking community feedback on the proposed permanent planting of seven juvenile Norfolk Island Pine trees along Marine Parade between Vera View and North Street.
The trees were originally planted as part of the Town's Street Tree Master Plan, which aims to increase canopy cover, enhance public spaces and improve environmental outcomes across the Town.
Following community feedback that consultation should be undertaken in accordance with the Town's Beach Policy, the trees were temporarily relocated. The trees are currently being maintained and cared for by the Town while community consultation is undertaken.
The purpose of this consultation is to understand community views before Council makes a decision on the future planting arrangements for this section of Marine Parade.
Community feedback will be considered by Council at its meeting on 25 August 2026.

The Town's Beach Policy recognises the importance of community consultation when considering changes that may influence the character, amenity and experience of the beachfront environment.
